Now before you say,

'Use the searchbox'

'This has been suggested previously'

This idea has been modified.

As I was browsing my airlines alliance network and the Airport network (where all airlines fly out of) I noticed some, well rather peculiar routes, such as Iceland to Mali, or Vladivostok to Auckland. With the huge amount of spamlines covering the globe making AE worlds as realistic as possible is next to nothing, likely because players are eager to spam any airport that looks appeasing due to inexperience.

So, here's what I suggest.

If enough alliances (such as DWA, Azure and Globe) submit a request for all 3 airlines to work in one private world, at the request of a Developer (requested to Yuxi) then they would be allowed to operate in a normal world (something very similar to Rdelta) like in the actual world (Star, Skyteam and Oneworld).

The catch is, four alliances maximum and the world would only allow up to 70-100 airlines to keep things short. Because of the amount of alliances the server couldn't possibly handle one world each so why not divide between 3? Golden, National and Skyworld could all keep ops running in their private world whilst others do it in the same fashion. This also doesn't mean you can't operate in Rdelta anymore if you want the experience of other alliances, more alliances.

I would not put this down to inexperience. Spam, yes, but spamlines use strategies which make these routes (and any routes, really) very profitable.

I disagree, most spamlines can be inexperienced and don't know the real realism behind the aviation world.

This is a great idea, personally this would be very fun and realistic to participate in. Currently, in Rdelta, my airline is competing realistically against a DWA carrier. While this battle is realistic and enjoyable, we also have to deal with the spammers, which cause either one or both of us to pull out of that route. Adding this world would be great.

One issue I could see, is we might lose realism. In the real world, there are LCC's participating on routes that used to be mainline only. If another good LCC alliance springs up, (ex. Dawn/Dusk) then this world would really work.

Yea, I like this Idea. But we need enough support to gain YUXI's attention. I would still keep it to National's members to decide on this.

Short answer is this will never, and can't happen.

To begin with, people doing spamlines through inexperience is an argument I've always found extremely daft. Some people just like to play the game that way, just as a lot of us on the forum like to do as realistic airlines as possible. This way of playing we simply have to deal with and respect.

Secondly there's the issue of who gets in this hypothetical world? Who gets to decide which alliances/selected players get in? There's loads of different ways people play AE, and to simply assume the way, we most active on the forum plays it is the right way to the extent that we deserve our own world is in my opinion problematic. On a site with over 50.000 members and thousands active, selecting a miniscule amount of those to partake in a private world, essentially locking out 98% of the site simply isn't viable.

This is the part where I also remind you that you are here completely free; a paid private world is a whole different story, one I fully support.

Regarding the selection part, I would suggest that we should have some "World Password" so that members who know the password, can play in it.

But also, yea it's nearly impossible for this to actually take place keeping 98% of AE out.

Well it would help forum alliances expand as said above they are only 2%

I love the idea and I think alliances in a world should be based on what type of alliance it is, wether its premium (includes premium low cost) (SkyWorld), realistic, low cost, or everything.

Looking at the logistical side of this, the people getting into the world are simply the people in the alliances. Not every member of x alliance will all play the same, every member is diverse and has a different gameplay, some might play unrealistic and some might play realism. It's up to the alliances. Anyone is free to enter an alliance upon the acceptance of the head of alliance. No member, on the entire server, is restricted to not joining an alliance, there are many of them out in the world and you have the option to create your own. Not even an eighth of that 50,000 are active anymore and people are joining the forum more often. The ones that are not 'viable' are encouraged to join and interact with the community, which this way promotes better sustainability for AE in the future.

The fact is people like myself and I know many others start off in AE inexperienced and use high utilisation and spam routes. Not every spamliner is inexperienced, however not all of the are experienced. New players are often vulnerable to the situation where there is low demand in a certain area with high competition and resort to spamming a route. I've seen it before.

Yes we are here completely free (Although some do support the server using the ad-free payment option). A paid option possibly could work.

If you can't beat the spamlines, insult them.
