What does the ratings and odds stand for? And how do you read them?

Ratings are what the guy who wrote the article thinks of the horse and it's chances. Add one to the number before /1 in the odds, and that's how much you would get back if you bet on them to win if they won.

So 9/10 should be a high rating, right? And the higher the odds, the better the chance of winning, right?

Tbh every horse has the same chance in the national. But yeah the higher out of 10 it is the moe likely they say it's gonna win. And the lower the odds the more likely the bookies think it will win.
