Difference between Hub and Terminal? What are the pros and Cons of both?

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie here. And I'm looking about the differences b/w Hubs and terminals. What are the pros and cons of both of these? Anyone with a detailed answer will be highly appreciated.

Comparing hubs and terminals is like comparing apples to oranges. Hubs allows connecting traffic in airports, which gives some of your flights some additional income but makes the airport more expensive to operate out of. Terminals are less expensive to operate out of and are not subject to the gate cap. However, they're expensive to build.
