As tha aviation industry continues to grow and evolve, many airports around the world are reaching their maximum capacities--in some cases to the point of overcrowding. I still think there's still room left for new airlines in certain countries, but I don't know which counties can accomodate another airline. Any ideas?

Here in Argentina we are going to have an ULCC named "Flybondi.com". There is a regional carrier at my local airport which is going to operate bigger planes from here. Argentina's air network is too underdeveloped despite having one of the biggest territories in the world and almost all domestic flights have that "stopover in Buenos Aires" methodology which is quite annoying specially if you could travel less than half the distance on a direct flight. The biggest airlines here are state owned "Aerolíneas Argentinas" which offers some domestic flights without stopping over in Buenos Aires. "LATAM Argentina" all whose routes start or end in Buenos Aires except for the Mendoza - Santiago de Chile route and "Andes Líneas Aéreas", a private company that serves mostly the northern half of the country with aproximately 6 MD-83s, however, there are rumours that it is used by some corrupt politicians to wash money.

Well, you can check on each world. Just go to the rankings ( if you do not have an airline in that world). :D

Read the post. He's talking about real world aviation, hence why this is in the 'Real World Aviation' forum.

The problem with Africa is that much of its aviation infrastructure and safety legislation remain largely underdeveloped. Also keep in mind that many African countries don't have decent passenger demand to attract more airline service.

The Baltic countries have a lot of potential, as does Croatia.

Just thinking now. If someone linked all the Greek islands to Mainland Europe and Ireland for a low cost, that'd make money.

Doesn't Aegean Airlines already do that?

Not cheap enough. Checked their prices for a flight to Thessaloniki, it's like 160 quid from DUB at its cheapest. If they were to do it in the 60-120 euro return bracket then that'd be a draw.
