Yes, this is a petition AGAINST extra low fares: so only sign here if that's what you want to do.

I've been an airline operating out of BNE with quite a decent DOP of around 130K since Sunday. Then ONE, I repeat ONE player decides to be an idiot (and they will remain unnamed for obvious reasons) and reduces fares to $1.

First of all, they aren't Ryanair. Second, it just takes the fun out of the game. I can't support myself getting $1 routes! OK, you're probably gonna tell me I can go somewhere else: WHERE!?!?!?!?! To another place with $1 fares? That's exactly what I'm arguing against! STOP IT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!

So for those against this idiocracy of super-low fares, sign here like this:

Settle down, this argument has been floged in the forums countless times, I do understand your point and can see what you want to do, with other players backing you up, but AE World is to be like (In Some Ways) the real world. Therefore if in the real world Ryanair (Irish Airline) can make a business with low priced airfares, then its possible in the AE world too. But really you should relocate from your annoying $1 route and when that player adjusts back you slip back under his guard. Others do this, you should too

Deal with it. If you cant keep up with the competition, then leave. I admit, they are annoying and I am also a hypocrite at times (i complain about them aswell) but seriously, leave if u cant make money. It would help the oversaturation of this game.

Honestly, anyone else want to start crying about $1 fares?

So far, been playing this game for nearly 1.5 years and all i see, people complain about these type of fares. Nothing is fair in love and war, so deal with it.

a sim try to SIMULATE REAL LIFE CONDITIONS.. in this case an airline. but we have to get 2 reality also, Ryanair i heard charges on luggage etc.. I rekon its true that theres hidden charges... it might be cheaper than normal though.. its too hard to beleive .. i wish it wasnt

If you don't like $1 fares, leave. If you are in an alliance and you want this guy off the route, tell them. Maybe they'll help.

firstly how the heck can u compare airline empires to ryanair

ryanair can afford to do $1 fares because they get their profit from the irish government and certain airports that pay ryanair to fly there...along with advertisements beyond belief (even some on the overhead bins so i heard) sure they make a profit. oh and there is no hidden charges with ryanair...i paid 49p plus airport taxes to fly to dublin and £19.99 plus taxes on way back they didnt charge me any extra

none of this is possible in AE and NO WAY does AE replicate the real life....you dont order 50 boeings and them all delivered that evening..nor do you have to contend with stupid 10 seater props on routes where u shouldnt

secondly...there are routes that 1 dollar fares will happen on...there are routes that arent....the 1 dollar fares will start occuring on airports where there is no gate availability and they will fight for that route...heck its a tough world but you should be able to find plenty of routes which players do not price dump on

Therefore if in the real world Ryanair (Irish Airline) can make a business with low priced airfares, then its possible in the AE world too.

But lets not forget a few things things:
1) In real-life Ryanair and many other LCC's make a lot of money form other services like selling food etc, in flight.
2) Something as simple as people not turning up (they made @€40 million from approx 2 millions no-shows (assuming €20 per pax (including taxes and charges)).
2) How many of the seats on an average flight are for that low price 5-10 not the entire flight I can assure you - behind all good* airline website is quite a complex load factor algorithym (spl?) that constantly adjustes the ticket price to ensure that when a flight goes out it is at worst revenue neutral.

So anyway my point is that while in reallife €1 and even €0.01 ticket prices are possble they are only possible due to factors not modelled in this game so the comparrision is null and void.

*By good I mean technically not astheticilly - which by those criteria makes Ryaniars website one of the best.
