The legacy of 767's lives long. A330 and A340 are good also.

757-200. So bad it's not replaceable.

Boeing should of made a 757-400 or 757max . The a321 doesn't have the range of the 757 and less capacity so a bit of a downgrade if you ask me. It takes more then 10 years after the 757 goes out of production for a321neo to come and if you want keep a very new fleet that could be a problem.

My answer to the OP's question varies by range:

Props: Q400

<2,500 miles: B737-400

2,500-3,250 miles: A320-200

3,250+ Miles: B777-300 (not ER), or A340-300

Boeing should of made a 757-400 or 757max . The a321 doesn't have the range of the 757 and less capacity so a bit of a downgrade if you ask me. It takes more then 10 years after the 757 goes out of production for a321neo to come and if you want keep a very new fleet that could be a problem.

Agreed.

B757MAX wouldn't be economical for Number of reasons. Commonality with B737 is one. The other is that A321NEO would be way more efficient than B757MAX. A321NEO come because airlines asked for it.

Btw, We all know A380 is the best aircraft in AE, especially for spamlines.

The 777 is bae (its only issue is 10 abreast). The 767 is great to get into long haul on a (relative) shoestring, since it is quite economical (not as much as the 777), can take quite a lot of people (350-odd in a high density config for a -400), and 7 abreast (you could do 8, but your passengers would murder you). You can get 8 767-400er for around $1.1 billion, compared to 7 777-200 (I think). Also, there isn'5 much in it between a 777-200 and a 767-400er for efficiency in AE, or for range.

Tu-114 has always been my favorite plane, I like Russians, their history, their mentality, their crude and practical yet effective approach to just about everything including engineering, this plane embodies all of those things. In its time it beat every similar plane in range, size & speed and continued to do so for many years, it brought soviet leaders to nations too far for any other plane, cargo versions were flying 200 tons of cargo from moscow into cuba daily during the embargos, no other plane could have even hoped to achieve anything remotely similar. Just started playing this game and I'm happy the plane is just as brilliant in this game as it was in reality.

The best longhaul is the 777-200ER or 777-300ER.

The worst longhaul is the 767-200 for lack of seating for the engines.

The best shorthaul is the 737-800.

The worst shorthaul is the Yak-42.

The best regional jet is the E-series.

The worst regional jet is the ERJ-135. (It;s still ok :P)

The best regional prop is the Q400.

The worst regional prop is the Xian series.

The best commuter prop is the B1900D.

The worst commuter prop is the Bonanza.

I guess, for me, there is pretty much 3 aircraft that i would say are the best:

Boeing 757-300 - great for them short haul high demand routes, while also giving you good range to open up longer thinner routes.

Airbus A330-300 - a mid size haul plane that works well for anything between 2000-6000 miles

Boeing 777-300ER - great plane for ranges between 5000-8000 miles, carrying great loads across 3 classes and make them routes turn into gold mines with great feed from your hub.
