I'd like to start a suggestion to add at least one more sandbox world with a 40 year time length from 1980 to 2020 or a new sandbox world running the normal time length of 20 years is fine as well. I personally would just like to see at least one more sandbox world. maybe there should be multiple sandbox games for the same dates and time frames, but with staggered reset times to allow for more people to start on the beginning of a game instead of being tossed in the middle of a game.
more sandbox worlds

Many advanced or competitive players don't like the sandbox worlds - but like it or not, they are popular.
Not sure you could go anymore than 20 years though... by the end they are pretty full and basically overpopulated.
All that happens for the last 5+ years are players jumping other airline's existing routes, and open gates reduced to zero at many airports.
I would like to see 1970-1990... 1980-2000... 1990 to 2010... 2000-2020 options ALL available!
Variety of aircraft and diversity of airports in different economic era's is my motivation.
Or at least mix it up so it isn't always 2000-2020.
As I said in a previous post, I love the game but just do not have the time to effectively work a realistic world airline.
The sandbox gives me everything I want in an airline builders simulation.
However the same timeline constantly does get boring.

Obviously a new guy here, but based off what little I've seen....that seems to be the endgame on all the different worlds I've checked out so far.
I'd like to see more worlds with a shorter turn time personally - I work really funny shifts and end up with 4-5 days off/on and I'd love to knock out long chunks or close to an entire game in those 4-5 days. I understand that's definitely not everybody though.

There are two methods to mitigate for the ends-up-full-and-over-populated-problem.
1) decrease number of airlines that compete in the sandbox world.
2) make that sandbox world an open world.
Doing both in conjunction together would be more ideal.
For example, if a sandbox world were, say, open and were limited to no more than 50 airlines, that would offer the better chance of mitigating the overfilling and over-population issue.
If I were the dev, I would have a multi-set of 4 sandbox worlds grouped together, all with the same start date, the same end date, and every world in that multi-set would be open and limit-50-airline worlds, but the daily rankings would be calculated as one set. In other words, the daily rankings are calculated using all 4 worlds as though everyone were playing in a combined world.
Would be kind of strange though!
