Mine personally, is Mike Posner. I really like his older stuff like 31 Minutes to takeoff (Side note, 31 minutes into the album you can hear a plane taking off, which is really cool!  ), But his new stuff like "Be As You Are" and "In The Arms of a Stranger" are really good too!

Europe and Toto are beasts too as is Reo Speedwagon..and for the 70s the Bee Gees were amazing.

 

And Eminem.

 

As far as women I like 80s staples Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Bananarama. 

 

And the Spice Girls.
