With the success of the DL RDU focus city, can anyone else see something like this replicated in other cities by AA DL and UA? PVD, DSM, SAT, AUS, and STL come to mind.

(BTW, now there are technically 3 hubs/focus cities here in NC :P)

United maintains a somewhat "focus" city operation in Cleveland after the closure of the Continental pre-merger Hub.

As for United, they really don't have many point to point routes that could subsidize a focus city, other than maybe LaGuardia.

I can see United opening a focus city in MCO, they have a decent amount of flights out of the airport and with U.S. Airways gone they no longer have a south eastern presence (U.S. Airways provided service for United via Codesharing)

MCO is also one of the last fairly large airports without a major airline's hub in the South East
