Depends what world or time you're talking about, but I usually pick the 737 or DC

AE is the best.

I go for, 737, DC 10 or A320.
But between them I would choose the A320 (when available)

I start with A320s but ditch the 320s, get 319s and ditch those when the CS300 comes out. CS300 is much better.

Bombardier... Interesting take, I might try that.

Tricky question to answer! A few people so far has said that the A320 is the best aircraft to start off with. But, speaking from experience, it isn't. I suggest starting off with either the 737-300, or the ATR 72. Either way, both aircraft were great starting aircraft for me, as they allowed me to build up my airline a bit, before proceeding on to the aircraft that I want for my fleet, such as the A320, as I'll be stable enough by then to handle its pricey expenses.

My general rule is that I use 319s in the early days, then scrap them for 320 and 321 NEO's when they start being produced

A320's. Longer distance and a nicer looking aircraft. If A320's haven't been released prior to the world starting date, then either a Boeing 737-300 or DC10

Which worlds are you lot in that you get a DC10  as a starter? I'd love to be given free widebodies.

Quantum is considering experimental CS300s for use on domestic routes, possibly to replace A320 and A319 aircraft in the fleet from 2016-on.

Will same!

It's simple for the worlds I play mostly (after 1990), A320 if available, otherwise 737-300 and soon switch to -400.

tbh it depends what world you're in.

R0 could be anything, but I prefer the Viking.

R1 and O2 would be the Douglas DC-7.

R2 would be the 727-200.

RAlpha and S3-A would be the 737-200Adv, though the Trident could be another option.

R3 would be the 737-200adv, though the DC 9-50 isn't a bad option either.

S3-B, S2, R4, R7, O1, R5, and ROmega would be the MD-83, though the 737-300 isn't too bad.

S1 and S3-C would be the A320, but the 737-400 and MD88 aren't horrible ideas.

R6 would probably be a tossup between the A320 and the 737-800.

As for sandbox worlds I honestly don't care. Just use the R6 for S4B and S3-B, S2, etc for S4E

TU-144D

The question asked was "BEST" "STARTER" aircraft!! TU-114D is definitely not the "BEST" and if it is not "BEST" it is definitely "NOT" gonna be a good "STARTER".

According to me best starter would be
DC-7
A320-200
737-800
ATR-72-500
BOMBARDIER- "Q"400
