In my game world, the gates and slots are important resources because in most of airports, the # of available gates is 0. So we have to built new terminal, its okay in our hubs or main cities , but in some small cities, its gonna to be a waste.

Also, in small cities, we do not need 50 slots but still have to rent a gate ( and there are only 2-5 gates for each airport ).

Why not us share our gates and slots with our alliance members to save  time and money?

I mean we can rent gates from alliance members or pay for the slots we need.

Seems that the connections between alliance members are lose in this game....

There is something called the search function. This has been mentioned already by dozens of people

What even? You're totally missing the point.

I get the idea, but I don't even know how it can be implemented by the devs. And how would you even decide how to split it up between alliance members?

A simple way of doing it would be the first airline that leases the gate chooses whether or not to allocate a certain amount of the slots from the gate as available for other alliance members.  Lets say the first airline uses 21 of the 50 slots and pays $100,000 for the gate ($2k per slot); the other airlines in the alliance could have the opportunity to lease some or all of the remaining gates by paying $2k per slot (or possibly a small percentage over that) to the original lessee of the gate.  First come, first served.  Not very complicated.

This will be way more effective & interesting though when AE4 comes out.  I hope there's an option to simply rent slots or a full gate & all the slots that come with it.  If one chooses to rent a full gate, but then sublet some slots to alliance members, they would have to consider the schedule of their flights so that only certain times of day could be available.  Also depending on how AE4 works, the type of gate could matter.  If I'm a regional airliner running a bunch of Q400s, my alliance member probably wouldn't be able to park his A330 at my gates.

Or you could let other people in your alliance use your terminal.
