Stomedy, while there are a few that are unaware, the real truth of the matter is that an appreciable majority of spamliners in the game ARE aware that the game is unrealistic - but so what? Most games appeal as a escape from realism! It's still a great game, and is intensely competitive to boot.  AND it's free.

If Yuxi actually wanted a truly realistic airline simulation, it would have happened way before now.  I truly believe that his heart just isn't in it to create that type of game.  But that's just my opinion.

Airline Simulation > Game. Two different things. Airline gamers go to something else, please. Run a realistic airline and you'll see how hard and easy it is.

I can't believe there is an issue here. "Realistic"!?... Surely you must mean something else.

I doubt that any real airline would hold back if they were able to capture 100% market share of a profitable route. Competition in the real world, by many factors, is much more ruthless, unforgiving, difficult, and competitive than anything we will find in this game and most others.

The term "spamline" is a furphy or falsely used. It is most likely a term coined and used by those who are not getting things all their way and want to have a whinge. There is more than one tactic and/or strategy that can be used to counter an airline with 100% market share.

I wish you all luck in exploring your options within the game parameters. If the rules allow it then it is fair game. There is NO ethical consideration within the rules.

A real airline would not hesitate to fill all the demand and then some on their routes, but real airlines don't have scam IFS and don't run their aircraft at 20 hours a day. They cannot scam because if someone irl sees a dinner for $75, they will not buy it. They can't run 20 hours a day because that stresses the aircraft to the extreme and it ruins scheduling. That and a single delay will make everything be screwed up.

My suggestion here is that if an airline uses a scam IFS then the likelihood of a passenger to buy food or products goes way down, as in real life. That would eliminate spammers because they wouldn't be able to flood a route with 300 passengers with 100 A380s weekly at $1. Or any other route where they would make a negative profit.

The delay part already flows into the reputation rating and is taken into account.

This game is a simulation with passengers that behave the same way for everyone who plays it. Work with them and deal with it.
