When playing as fully realistic airlines, do you go for a Airbus dominant fleet of Boeing dominant fleet, or perhaps a Douglas dominant fleet in the earlier years. What's your pick?
Airbus, Boeing or Douglas?

Boeing aircraft always dominate my fleet. I do have some Q300s and Q400s to serve short-haul routes with little demand and short runway lengths. In earlier worlds, I tend to spam use Tristars because those birds are quite awesome.
Airbus has no place in my airlines.

Mostly Boeing because my realistic airlines are usually in smaller countries with less passengers, and Boeing has a better choice of mid-sized planes in all periods since 70's, especially 767/787.

Right now, I have a 'place-holder' 767 from the used market, around twenty 757s, twenty MD11s, twenty 747-400s, twelve 777s, 35 A321 on order, 70 737-8 on order, 20 Q400 on order, and 25 A330-300 on order. I also have about fifty 737-400 and seventy MD-8* aircraft.

Boeing and Airbus mix
I love the 767 and the 747 (for high density domestics with the 8I)
I love the A318 and the A321
I also use the 737-700ERs
The main aircraft in my fleet is the A340-300 from 1993-2007

Mostly Boeings with Airbuses based outside the Mainland (HNL, GUM, PPG etc.)
Regionally, it's only Bombardiers until the 170 LR comes out.

Lockheed!
On serious note, in the early years I prefer Douglas. DC-6, DC-7 and DC-8 are rock stars. Going into the 70's, 80's and 90's, I tend to go to Boeing. 747 767 and 737classics are huge moneymakers. 2010s and beyond, I lean towards Airbus. You can never go wrong with the extremely useful and profitable A320, A330 and A340-200/300.

OMG
Why would you need domestic A340s and A380s in India?
I don't use them even in China and US...
600-1000 pax routes are perfect for 5-10 daily frequencies on A320 A321, and even a few A319s if you make a nice mix... That's both realistic IRW and makes your virtual reputation go way up with better frequency.
Anyway, I'm shoched when I look at 90% of AE's allegedly realistic airlines. Really, people, is it so hard to look at what real real airlines do?

Well, having a daily util of 5hr like BON is not really that easy to do and still have a profit
