I tried to make it work from Manhattan Helipads, and the answer is indeed no.

I have to disagree somewhat, One I can really make profitable is the Sea King, due to its fuel flow vs capacity I guess but also the huey and chinook sometimes work. The others dont really work,be nice if there was 'vip' demographic or helis had their own attraction.

unfortunately, how the game works smaller seat aircraft have a very narrow margin of profitability.

 

its funny, on the same route i can make a profit with a 717-200, 737-600, or even a 747-400D.  but trying to grab a copter or a beech-craft or even a Cessna for a low passenger locale. . . good luck.

You can make BIG money with a heli flying from JRB to other major centers (think 400+ daily demand) if you set the Y price to 9999 and 1 trip per week you'll still get a couple pax. I have one heli making 160k/day doing that.

100 percent of the time AE favors airplanes over helicopters, so they're absolutely out of the question if your goal is to make a profit in the game.

Hence, the rule of thumb is to ALWAYS avoid helicopters and ONLY buy or lease planes.
