worst ULH plane
747-400ER carries less passengers in its "ER" range
8500-8900 miles does 1 less frequency than a 77E

Lockheed StarLiner is junk. It's slow and the passenger capacity is way too low for a long-range airliner.
Il-62 (while it is one of my favorite planes aesthetically, also dat Soloviev symphony) has horrifically limiting runway requirements, incredibly thirsty engines, and it depreciates like a radioactive isotope.
I've managed to make seven figures with a Concorde before. The Tu-144, however... Oh god, I refuse to even attempt to utilize it.

737-500/600 & A18,A319. For the very small increase in operating costs you might as well get the bigger brothers that can carry more.
737-900(non er variant) makes absolutely sod all sense in the game too, same seat count as 737-800

No version of 737 or A320 belongs to this topic... Especially super-efficient A319.
Some people like to have a smaller plane fleet when building a "realistic" airline, and I also like picking them up as used market surplus when I build big airlines, they fit to many routes where A320 or 738 is a bit too big.
So simply, they should not be on this list.

Worst:
Russians
Concorde with anything but F/C
VC-10
DC-8
990
Early Jets
762ER
Personally, the Comets and Caravelles are really good aircraft to me in the early games. Caravelles at least allow for a regional type plane, and Comets could easily be replaced by 737-100s or DC-9s.
On the contrary, the best are:
737 all
A320 all
757
763ER
777 all
A330-300
Q400
E170
CRJ all
Britannia/Cl-44

The Flying cow ordered 60 concordes
Why not if you know how to make money with them? Like any other plane in the game...

It's obvious you don't have experience on AE. Ask anyone, and they'll say that the A340 on AE is very profitable

I usually just wait until the A330-300 and the 777s are avaliable. Although I must agree that the A343 is quite profitable indeed.

maybe you are not using the A340 on routes where it not supposed to be flying.
deploy them on 7000-8000 miles range and it makes 350-450k profit daily (no scam IFS)
in the real world though, it is actually a gas guzzler

Delta350 i hate them, and in routes like LHR-SEA with huge price dumping you cant even get 2k profit, but with A350 or B777 you get around 350-500K,I ordered them first and last time,Fredrik-a i deployed them on route from LHR-Jakarta and plane with full pax was losing money at price around 700$ in economy,So you call that plane profitable?

got 1.04M on ORD-CTU with 3 A343
tested it with a price around 700 for Y i still got 677k
tested it on a "real world" configuration (EK) 12-42-213 with the said price, still got 212k -- total demand not yet filled with 3 A343s
anyways i rest my case.
the problem might be on the IFS quality or seat config
if its still unprofitable for you then its really unprofitable for you
cheers.

Its not when you are compatitng with 5 airlines which flew with more efficient planes, and made huge price dumping.

How the hell do you know exactly what they're doing? Your presumption is misleading.
They may have better scam IFS, they may even try to dump prices at a loss or zero profit to chase you away.Trying another plane in similar config and IFE by your company is the only way to know the exact difference.
A340-600 is a great plane in AE, it can make similar money as 777-300ER.
Only A340 that's not very profitable is -500 because of the way AE doesn't recognize the max seats - 3 class config problem, and it's a gas guzzler just like 772LR, ULR doesn't make sense anyway.
(IRL A340's four engines would mean much higher maintenance but that's not so in AE)
