ATLANTA, Sep. 9, 1991. /PRNewswire/ -- SouthJet Air (SX) announced today that it is seeking an interim assistant CEO, as its current president, Avington Carr, will be unable to dedicate sufficient time to his duties due to family commitments. In a letter to employees yesterday, Carr thanked them for their ongoing service and stated that while he has no intention of abandoning the airline that he founded and shepherded to its current stature, he feels the need to share his duties with a joint CEO.
SouthJet is therefore inviting applications from professionals with extensive experience and a proven track record managing global low-cost air carriers. In order to avoid conflicts of interest, we shall only consider applicants who do not manage competing airlines.
