I was just wondering if its better to sell or scrap aircraft in the no aircraft lease challenge.

Yes you will generally get more money form selling it, but this also means the cheaper old aircraft are available for the competition to grow.

 

Is it better to just scrap them, stop the competition from gaining cheap aircraft?

If your looking on minimizing competition, i suggest you do scrap then (what i do is id wait until the plane is old enought when the gap between sell and scrap is minimal as possible). If you are ahead on competition then just sell the aircrafts

from a financial point of view it all depends on the value of the aircraft wich itself depends on the age. 

 

so in most cases it would be more financial benefitial for your airline to sell the aircraft rather thsn scrapping it

 

Besides, after 3 - 4 ingame years there will be plenty at cheap aircrafts at used market anyways, so it will really have a minimal effect on your competition....
