Hey

I just have a question about the fleet age. I am just confused in one thing, the fleet age is calculated by the number of years I use the airplane or the number of years of the airplane production?

I mean like if I have a 747-400 which I used for 10 years and I have an option to replace it by a A380 or buy a new a new B747-400 so is it the same or if I get the A380 my airline fleet reputation will increase because the production of the A380 starts after the production of the B747?

Thanks

No , it depends on when your aircraft was delivered

It's actually the number of years since it was made, but anyway.

For example, aircraft # 7777 is built in 1990. In 2000, 7777 is 10 years old, no matter what type it is, or when you leased it.
