I once flew on a United Express CRJ-700 with 2 rows of First Class Seating.

Whats the smallest you've seen or flown on?

CRJ aircraft with first in general are just, why!? First class for anything under 3 hours is absurd.

I once took a CRJ 200 (Delta) on a short hop from Detroit to Buffalo.

For a consumer like you or I who is actually paying for their seat, yes, this is absurd. That isn't so much the case for businesspeople who are going to expense the trip to their company.

I worked in travel agency once, they put me in ticketing department where most of the clients is companies who book ticket for their workers or guests, the company always book a business class ticket for "Important People" which was either politicians or the people they would do business with. It happens a lot in indonesia. I bet it would happen way more often in countries with excess money like the US.

I would think most people in business on a CRJ like that are either connecting onward to a business class flight, or were FF Elites who were upgraded. I've sat in first on a CRJ900 but I would certainly never pay for it, I was upgraded.
