Hi there.

 

Just a thought I was having today. I would find it useful to know what the maintenance costs of a particular aircraft are before buying/leasing as sometimes you get an unpleasant surprise when you find out how much it costs to keep your bird in the sky!

There might be other useful information to know as well such as staffing requirements or something. What do you guys think?

 

Also on a slightly unrelated topic, what is your opinion on a dynamic minimum runway length requirement based on the weight/fit out of your aircraft. For example, not every plane is going to be at MTOW when it takes off. So a 747 flying say 1000 miles is gonna need a lot less fuel then one flying 7000 miles and hence take off weight would be much less.

I like the idea of this it would certainly be nice to know the base cost at least, staffing would also be nice to know how best to keep costs low with certain types of airlines and it would be interesting to see which aircraft suddenly loose popularity in game. On the runway topic, I do beleive this will be part of the new maintenance system in AE 4.

The Runway requirement one is most definately needed for AE, The other ones would just be nice to have but is not neccesary i believe.

Base maintenance cost is 5% of the plane cost.
