Political restrictions prohibit certain routes between countries or airports. For example, you cannot create a flight from USA to Cuba due to political restrictions. However, worlds O1 and O2 are exceptions, since they don't have any restrictions. More info:http://www.airline-e...-agreements-r13

Warning: Open worlds can get pretty crazy, because any airline of any nationality can operate any route anywhere in the world. Sometimes national pride is at stake. No offence to anyone, but would an American player be happy about an Iranian, Chinese, or even worse, French airline dominating US domestic routes? Political restrictions prevent this. Sometimes they can be your best asset in this game.

If you're a new player, try & get into "Small Worlds" as soon as they open (they fill fast), or stick to restricted's until you get the hang of things.

Small World's have lower than normal competition but that also means airlines grow faster. R6 is easier in my humble opinion.
