Sorry TNT, steve is right here.

No, because its a heavy dog. That is why the A330 and eventually the A350 were born.

TBH the A350 fits this role well.

And also no LCC right now is looking at a plane like that unfortientally. I thought Norwegian would look

I'm pretty sure we're talking about aircraft revival here.

TBH, A350 is way too big for A300 market, it also have too much range and thrust for most medium-haul market. And no, it wouldn't fit any role other than for B777-200ER and B777-300ER replacements.

You always have to wonder though, if A300 and B767-300ER are updated and built by using composite materials and efficient next generations engines. Would many airlines order them, you know, to replace hundreds of B767-300ER they currently operate in many of their routes. Since B787-8 and A330-200 is too big to fill for some routes. I thought Hawaiian Airlines, Condor, and Air Canada Rogue would be interested in it. Maybe Ryanair would loved it. Who knows.

Perhaps Airbus should consider a completely new successor to the A300, which I would call the A360. It would be more or less similar to the A300, but with updated features.

+1 Agree, A330-800 are not the biggest seller these days, the only big seller is A330-900. They should definitely do something about the MOM.

I'd harp on you for reviving a dead thread, but....

I might as well chime in! How about the revival of the Fairchild Dornier 728
