My C:S game isn't even starting which is really pissing me the **** off considering that I actually find this game to be enjoyable.
Anywho, I've decided to take a swing at making some assets with some tutorials and SketchUp so...

Is it crashing on the Paradox logo? I had the same problem, it's an issue with Steam Workshop integration fix I used is as follows:
1. Get the "Don't Crash" mod
2. Start the game up and disconnect your computer from the internet before the Paradox logo shows up
3. Activate Don't Crash, restore internet connection and quit game
4. Restart game normally it should work now.
That mod also has the added benefit of (I believe it certainly seems to have done so in my case) decreasing load times.

It usually gets to the main screen then crashes but I'll try that...

The mod is designed to fix that as well, the workaround I mentioned is if you can't even get to the main screen to activate it.

So now that I'm earning a decent salary, I want.
What would you recommend as the minimum system requirements, for the best gameplay, I'm asking for your opinion, not the back of a box

In terms of Computer specs my proccesor is an Intel i5 4440, GTX960 graphics card and I've got 8GB DDR3 RAM and the game just installed on a normal HDD. For an unmodded game without many custom assets that will probably be fine however if you're like me and mod the game to all hell (I have like 85 mods active and over 3,000 custom assets) it starts struggling a bit. Game still runs mostly fine for me but will freeze on saving and loading takes ~20-30 minutes while using pretty much all my RAM so I defs intend to (and would recommend) getting at least 16GB of RAM and if you want to go crazy get an SSD as well.

I run a Intel Core i3, GeForce 950, 12 GB RAM, and 500W PSU. With a population of 125k, I get around 15 FPS in Downtown, 20 in my mountain community, and 30 on the edge of the map.
