Here are some of trains that i ever used. In Indonesia, the only good thing from train if compared with bus is only time and punctuality. The other thing such like the service, seat comfort and fare are mediocre or in some cases are poor but better if compared with Indonesian trains condition before 2011.

Indonesia - PT. Kereta Api Indonesia.

Long Distance - Regional Trains :

- CC201(GE U18C), CC203(GE U20C), CC204(GE C20EMP), and CC206(GE CM20EMP) class locomotive.

Commuter Trains :

- MCW Series DMU, BN-Holec DMU(converted from EMU) and KRDI - Kereta Rel Diesel Indonesia DMU

Indonesia - PT. KAI Commuter Jakarta.

Commuter Trains :

- Many types, most notable are JR Class 201, JR Class 203, JR Class 205, Tokyo Metro 05, Tokyo Metro 5000, 6000 and 7000, and Bombardier-INKA i9000(KfW) EMU

Singapore - SMRT and SBS Transit

Commuter and LRT Trains - Not noticing the type but have tried all lines in Singapore MRT and LRT network

Malaysia - Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad

Long Distance Train :

- Senandung Sutra and Senandung Sinaran. Not noticing what locomotive type but perhaps it's a Class 25 KTM.

Commuter Trains :

- Class 92 EMU KTM Komuter

Malaysia - RapidKL :

- LRT - Not noticing the rolling stock but perhaps it's a Bombardier ART/Innovia EMU

- KL Monorail

Malaysia - KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit - Siemens Desiro ET 425M EMU

People Mover System :

Singapore - Changi Skytrain - Mitsubishi Crystal Mover

Malaysia - KLIA Aerotrain - Bombardier Innovia APM 100

Argentina: (my country)

Ferrocarriles Argentinos: "Materfer CMM 400-2". "Tren del Valle". The commuter intercity train I take sometimes from Cipolletti to Neuquen and back when I go to college (Actually it's a government scam but it's cheaper and more comfortable than the direct bus from Neuquen to my hometown, look for it :P )22-07-2015_neuqun_la_presidenta_cristina

Tren de la Costa. "CAF-3700". Touristic light rail transit train that goes from Buenos Aires City to the district of Tigre. Some people use it as commuting train however.

800px-Tren_de_la_Costa_in_Olivos.jpg

TBA metropolitan train of Buenos Aires and nearby boroughs. I dont remember where did I go because I was with my parents and I don't live in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires subte (Argentine for metro)

United States:

Light Rail?

Vancouver Skytrain (is it a light rail?)- Bombardier ICTS system

Although the Skytrain is on the "light" side, it's generally not considered light because it is fully grade separated & has service speeds similar or better than many metro systems around the world.  The general consensus is that is is a metro system.  And when you compare it to light rail systems like those found in nearby Portland, Edmonton, or Calgary, Skytrain blows them out of the water.
