Hi,
Is there any way to calculate the load an aircraft could carry past the maximum payload range? Is it linear, meaning if an aircraft could carry 300pax 7000 miles at max payload range, and the absolute maximum was 8000 miles, at 7500 miles would it carry 150pax? Hope this makes sense and thanks for any help.

What I know is that it's not a simple linear calculation.
For the 787-8, I lost 40 pax with 100 miles beyond the max payload.

There is no point of flying planes past the payload limit, its not very profitable and not very realistic.
