So I am back after a looooong break.

And I'm looking to start an airline. Only problem is, I have no clue where. I would prefer to stay North American, be somewhere that has good colors to work with on a livery, and aside from that, I don't care too much.

Anyone have ideas?

Thanks!

Pittsburgh. Easy and a lot of demand and mostly low competition.

To my surprise Portland (PWM) seems to rarely have competition and has fairly good demand.  This has just been my experience, I do not know about anyone else.

If you are playing in a world with unlimited terminals, the USA will eventually see competition everywhere.  Even if you pick an obscure airport and the gates sell out, the spamlines will just build a terminal.  Canada and Mexico are less inclined to follow that pattern, but still competition is fierce and territorial.  Try a small Carribean country.

  • Doha (depends)
  • Manila
  • Phuket
  • Bali (depends)
  • Osaka (depends)
  • Chengdu
  • Shenzhen
  • Warsaw
  • Brussels (depends)
  • Casablanca
  • Johannesburg (depends)

Preferably, anywhere in New Zealand or secondary cities in Australia (competition is low in small worlds, but demand might be a problem).

ukraine.

Enough demand on most routes for a daily RJ flight, and most of europe within range of Rj aircraft.

Paro, Bhutan. You could make similar airlines like Emirates using the strategic locations given to you.

If you're looking for low demand, PBI. If you want a lot of passengers, probably FLL or TPA would be a good place. Manchester Boston Regional is the same demand as BOS with only 12,000 dollars per gate. Pretty good deal.

As should this (do note that FSC carriers are hard to run in Ukraine)
