Hi it is the first time i have opened an airline in R1 and didnt know what to get to replace the 707-320C and DC-8-50. I have considered the DC-10 series but they were simply too big. I would really appriciate your input and Thank You very much in Advance.

I would consider the DC 8-62 a good replacement (I believe that's the 259 seats). It offers good range and capacity. In 1983 I would suggest the B757-200, even if it is smaller it has good fuel efficiency.

thank you but the 757-200 & Dc-8-62 do not have enough range to replace the Dc-8-50 and the 707-320C as the DC-8-50 & 707-320C has a range of 5000+ but the DC-8-62 & 757-200 have range of about 3000-4000 miles

Depending on demand, you could just get the 747 for longer routes, with DC 8-62 on shorter routes.

I have re-assessed the DC-10 and have decided that it would be a good choice but thanks anyways.
