Welcome to the new GMI.
We present to you the new look GMI, and with it our new ethos. At the heart of this rebrand is the desire to develop a realistic set of airlines, focusing on global coverage, connectivity and market dynamics. Our vision is for a globally reaching airline network, featuring an array of strategically positioned hubs in geographically and economically advantageous locations, facilitated by realistic and market specific carriers.
The new GMI is not a 'quality' alliance. The new GMI is a 'realistic' alliance.
The rebrand has now gone live, and with it a number of internal changes have taken place. Most notable is the exit of several game worlds; as of now, GMI is present in R4, RA and Rdelta. This will reduce to two in the coming days, with a vote taking place as to which other world the alliance will exit. By reducing the number of worlds in which we are present, we have a greater ability to focus our efforts towards achieving our targets.
As part of our efforts, the alliance has issued a number of internal documents concerning standards and practices. New guidelines relating to airline management have been developed, intended to ensure all GMI member airlines are operating to the standard expected. Similarly, the alliance has issued a branding guide, ensuring all GMI member airlines display a consistent public image.
It will, however, take time for the alliance to fully adapt to the newly implemented changes, and as such, we expect the new GMI to be fully operational for the subsequent rounds of our chosen worlds. During the period leading up to this, GMI will continue operations in our current worlds, implementing changes during this time. A plan of action for the beginning of our next world will be drawn up among GMI members.
