Today on this beautiful Tuesday, it is exactly 517 years ago that Vasco da Gama set sail with his fleet of four ships and a crew of 170 men from Lisbon, Portugal, and went on to discover the long desired sea route to India. Now, 517 years later, the date again marks the start of a new and contemporary undertaking; the launch of Volare Alliance, AE’s newest and most promising quality alliance.

Volare Alliance is just like the journey of Vasco da Gama; a daring and ambitious undertaking that will be looked down upon by many critics but will succeed nonetheless, and will revolutionize the aviation industry.

Volare Alliance consists of the following five people; Nxwm2001, Moldova69, Ioh, Northern and Keyelem. After the launch the alliance will continue to be elite and with a low amount of members and strive to be AE’s most exclusive alliance.

In order to accomplish this the recruitment policy will be extremely strict, partly because we can perfectly survive without new members at this point and partly because we want to avoid creating a large alliance with no oversight and internal struggles. A key aspect of the recruitment policy are the veto-rights every single alliance member has when it comes to applicants, who will be judged more based on their personality than on their capability to run a quality airline because everyone can (learn to) operate one.

Volare’s future monopoly as AE’s only active quality alliance and the overall most exclusive alliance around is comparable with the monopoly the Portuguese enjoyed on the spice trade for over a century after the discovery of Vasco da Gama.

The alliance’s exclusivity, or the fact that it’s active, isn’t the only thing that makes it stand out. The main strength and beauty of Volare lies in the fact that it’s made up of five friends who are able to cooperate perfectly and get along great. As long as this remains to be the case, Volare Alliance will live on.
