Greetings from Farnborough.

GMI is happy to announce that after 'behind the scenes' negotiations, Leaf

(breezz02) has elected to withdraw its application from Azure Alliance to pursue

greater fortunes with GMI. When asked about his swapping from Azure for GMI,

Breezz02 said "Nice, all azure would do was complain, complain, complain about

having premium on a LCC haven't they heard of jetBlue mint or spirit big front seat?"

Furthermore he also said how "They would say I was irresponsible and that we

would have to vote! Seriously 4 days for 15 or so members?" This shows that

GMI has become the alliance of choice for members who want to cut out all the

usual AE hassle and want to be realistic in their operations. This also shows the

lack of realism being implemented by other alliances while GMI strides to achieve

realism in its operation.

GMI believes this will be a step forward for the alliance and will finally connect GMI

to Australia for the first time in a few rounds.

No comment was made from the Azure representative.

GMI looks forward to working with Leaf (Breezz02) well in to the future.

Thanks,

Kai

Can I ask who this Azure representative is? After all I am the only Azure representative and I can reassure you I would not have said such a remark, hence forth this is misleading.

We also do not approve of a maxed out A320 with C/Y as this simply Is unrealistic.

In today's world, I think you'll find it is highly realistic... you only have to look at the new short haul cabins of the European legacies.

I have to say it again but I think you missed out on a bloody good airline, and those who know me will be aware I don't say that often.

Also the representative was Will.

But C is not premium economy on AE also Will is not a representative and I see no reason for that to be quoted it's misleading a provocative hence I am asking for a moderator review, and could you then tell me the second quotes provider? I can guarantee no one said that for obvious reasons

I said those things to Kai last night, your posts on here are helping back up what I said about your voice being the only one in Azure. Well done on helping GMI.

Personally, if an airline offers premium economy as the only premium class, i will typically configure the aircraft in AE with C class being premium economy. As is the case with AE, some things you can't recreate entirely accurately, hence some form of discretion is required. Either way I'm perfectly happy with breezz02's seating plans.

As for the quotes, I do believe both came from Will, though you'll have to check with Kai on that. However, is Will not a member of Azure? If not we'll happily remove the comments.

As a member of Azure I find this thread is provocative and misleading and I hope you have the good will to kindly remove it. Northern is the only Azure representative but Azure's policy is decided by the members. Please also kindly consider any comment from Azure except the representative as personal opinion and not the alliance's.

I'm writing this as a part of AE community since I know my position in my alliance and because I have trust in my alliance's representative. So this is a personal opinion: I think GMI is using the situation to its own benefit whilst discrediting another. I personally think that this is just a relatively small case: a proposal to join an alliance is rejected. The only think that make it big are the reaction of the particular person, and this GMI thread. Kai, I hope this ability to create a drama from an unimportant incident is not the full potential you are talking about in your signature.

Fair enough. I will be advising Kai to remove the quote.

You're quite right though, Skye, we are indeed using this to our own benefit, for this is a massive gain for GMI. Quite honestly I still cannot believe your turned him down, I mean very rarely do you see highly realistic airlines like that on here. Obviously I can't speak for what Azure considers realistic, but I can't stress enough he is exactly GMI is looking for.

I do hope we see more players like breezz02 applying to us. As part of the revised ethos and brand GMI will soon be implementing, which will see an increased focus primarily on producing a realistic set of airlines, I see Leaf as an example of what we at GMI hope to achieve alliance-wide.

Can someone tell me what's going on here? Is it because of the seat configs or something else?

As far as I'm aware that is the main reason for the Azure application issues.

I have removed the Azure comment to calm people down a tad.

I entirely agree with Speed Bird that this is being used to benefit GMI. Afterall, Leaf is exactly the sort of airline that could be used as a rolemodel to other airlines; A high quality brand with a highly realistic business model.

Northern, It is entirely realistic that if, I'm using the C as premium economy and PRICING them at premium economy prices on average it's just 25-50 dollars extra dependig on the length of the flight. That is EXACTLY how some LCC and all ULCC price there premium product, henceforth it is realistic.

Actually it was azure that started this argument to be fair all GMI is doing is defending ourselves. It almost seems like azure is jealous about me joining azure. Because, remember I was never rejected to join Azure I pulled my application under my own will. When I did pull my application azure made a big deal about GMI gaining an "unfair" positive addition, hmmm...
