can i set an aircraft to fly from san francisco to washington, and then from washington to london heathrow, finally back to san fransisco?

Well for example you could just set one flight between San Fran and Washington, then go set up another route between Washington and London, select the same aircraft, then set up another route between London and San Fran and select the same aircraft, all this assuming you leave the frequency on each route low enough to have enough hours on that one aircraft to do this. That's probably the closest way to do that.
