For an example. Your aircraft has a standar setup with 32 seats. The maximum payload range is the range that the aircraft can fly with 32seats. The maximum fule rang is the maximum range the airplane can reach with 0 seats. The 4,080mi (4800max) is: maximum payload range (maximum fule range). I hope that helps you.

The max payload range is the highest possible distance the plane can fly with the highest possible payload.

The plane can of course fly further but if you try to do that, you will quickly notice that the system starts to sacrifice payload to make the plane fly further than its max payload range.
