Hey

I tried to search here about this but couldnt find an answer. What is scrap? like is it only selling the airplane as parts or what? because for example the 737-300 it's value to sell is like 20M while scrap is 5M only like what's the point?

Thanks

I still wonder what is the point of it, but stick with "Sell", scraping your planes means that your old planes wouldn't be put up for sale, which means other player can't buy it from the used plane markets, other than that, it's nothing useful

Scrapping an aircraft is selling it for parts. At some point, your aircraft's value will be higher in pieces than it will be whole. That being said, it will probably need to be ridiculously old to get to that point.

I've had 70 y/o planes with better resale value XD. I also rarely scrap, although I do like scrapping old Cl-44s on the Used Market to prevent spamlines getting them.

I've had several experiences where i've tried to sell used A320's to the used market, and because there's loads I'm getting offered like 2 million for each, whereas if I scrap them, I get 5 million for each one.

Thus, I ended up scrapping a load.

It's not just age that acts as a factor. See Will's post, above.
