How Russians get rid of aircraft...

When I first saw this picture I thought that an accident occured. Turns out, Aeroflot were just burning one of their IL-96 to the ground ^_^

Oh well, it's a Russian aircraft so I'm sure it's used to having smoke coming from it - though surprisingly in this case everywhere but the engines.

If they are.... what ever they are doing, so why have they spraid fire suppressing foam i think it is an excersise for fire crew. what a waste of a multi-million $ aircraft, sure they are crazy. :dance3:

Do they get Insurance money out of this? I mean the scrap value wasn't that low that they have to make money out of Insurance scam isn't it?

Well since we don't have resources that stated that this accident was on purpose, we still can't said that this was on purpose in the first place, so the money from insurance would still flowing

They sometimes do use retiring aircraft as live training for fire crews, it's a very fruitful and enriching experience for the fire crews so it's actually very good of Aeroflot for doing this exercise.
