I did a rookie mistake and took out bonds to be able to put down initial lease payments in order to increase my fleet size and expand in the early stages of the game. Now I'm in a catch 22 situation where I can't lease more planes due to my credit rating being CC. How long does it take for the credit rating to improve so that I can lease some more planes?

Your credit rating increases at the end of each month (remember 1 month in AE = 24 days). The amount of increase is proportional to your net income (profit) that month.

Why is one month actually 24 days in AE? 

 

This was left over from older versions of AE in which all aircraft deliveries happened on the first day of each month. The months were made 24 days long to ensure these deliveries happened at a consistent time each day in real life.
