This game is so INTERESTING yet ...................
First 5 years (1980 - 1985), OMG so agitated with this game... Those "old" player faced major difficulties such as UNABLE to lease aircrafts in the early 80s. The game just started, who would sell used aircrafts? Ancestors? Hahaha. Open as many routes as possible. So eager to configure in-flight service. Want the airlines to be so good like 5 star airlines. So many routes are "empty". WOW so amazing this game. Some thinking, the route has no competitor but yet didnt make profit. Not knowing the average profit for routes.
5-10 years (1986 - 1995) after playing this game, huh, WE ARE SAFE from bankruptcy! Luck or Smat? Hahahaha. Working hard to search more and more airports to fly to as those MAJOR and BIG airports have been leased their gates. Start browsing for lower-demand airports but still profitable. Buying smaller aircrafts to operate "smaller route". Competing with other GROWING airlines, keep reducing the price. Able to order (buy) new aircrafts. No longer go on leasing. Started bulding terminals and opening more hubs. Start paying attention on our airlines ranking.
10-20 years after playing this game, as we have wider network, easier for us to eliminate small airlines. Big airlines will not be badly affected if let say 50 routes are "taken" by small airlines. But if new airlines start, imagine 25 routes purposely damn lowered the price, they will not grow as no profit will be made. Finally bankrupt, yeah BIG airlines so happy !!! Airlines start CHANGING their aircrafts. Maybe go for younger fleet or saver in fuel. Like those Tupolev aircrafts, OMG so "hungry" in fuel. Competing with BIG AIRLINES. Making sure (country-based airlines) no gates are available for other airlines to lease when the gates last last.
And now after 20 years we have been playing this game, simply one sentence of what we, the airlines are doing. When we log-in, we just KEEP LOWERING THE PRICE as to get pax. That's all.
TRUE?
My advise, weve gone so far, for those "just-started airlines", better change to other world that has just started. Too difficult to grow when the remaining airlines have grown so BIG, too GREEDY and 99% routes have been taken. BIG airlines, hahaha, you know we all like grannies, keep taking medicine and wait until 2020 where we will be separated by "DOOMSDAY" hahaha.....
