The 1000th 737 to roll off the production line with Boeing Sky Interior was recently delivered to Norwegian Air Shuttle. The 737-800, became 48th of this type to join the 3rd largest European low cost carrier, and the 2nd largest airline in Scandinavia.
The overhead bin on this "New Boeing Interior" is horrible, it actually really small in real life, they just look nice, but doesn't do the justice, prefer the old one
Saab is now ready to start developing the "Sea-Gripen", a JAS-39 Gripen with updated system that also will be able to launch from carriers, hence the name. SAAB does currently already have a projection of how the prohect will look, but want to showcase it alongside a buyer and therefore waits, Lennart Sindahl of SAAB says.
Potential buyers include countries such as India, Brazil or Thailand, who all are looking for new harrier-based fighter aircrafts, Thailand has bought Gripens in the past and Brazil is currently in negotiation with SAAB about their recently ordered 36 new Gripens. SAAB left an offer to India a few years back, but India decided to go with French-built Dassault Mirage instead. Now that deal have been put on the shelf due to lack of funding, and the huge deal for 126 aircrafts is still an option for SAAB. Countries as Slovakia has also shown interest in renting Gripens, along with Denmark and Malaysia, who SAAB has left offers for.
"Sweden, we're neutral but we gladly make money on you buying our stuff to kill those other guys with! "
