Hi everyone!  This is a really fun game and I'm enjoying playing in this world :-)  So first off thanks everyone for making it cool.

 

I am relatively new to this game so sorry if this question is stupid, but I've noticed that for many of my airports I get into a negative slot situation.  This doesn't make intuitive sense to me as I haven't cancelled any slots yet it seems that due some unknown force my slot count goes below zero.  If there are no available gates then I am essentially frozen.  Any thoughts on why this occurs?  Seems like a bug but wanted to see if there was something I might be inadvertently doing.

Well if an airport has no gates it will come up as 0/0 gates.  However, if somebody decides to start operations in an airport with no gates they'll still get 5 free gates, even if the airport officially has 0/0 so then the airport will have -5 gates.  Then if the airline starts up when the airport has 2 gates the airport will have -3 gates etc. That's how it works

It's just an AE thing. Don't worry about it if there are negative gates.

Cool thanks for the explanation!  It's a bit annoying since if I don't pay attention and I delete some flights I'll lose them if it shows negative.  That explanation makes sense though.
