It would be good. If you store it, what use does it have? Is it with the idea that when C+E checks are performed, does it take that aircraft's place for the duration? :P

I thought it was just A, B, C and D checks

If we're going to do checks we may as well put in all of them...

I would love to lease my aircraft to other airlines!

Storing aircraft does certainly seem like a good idea. If a certain route or aircraft simply becomes unprofitable, you could simply move the aircraft to some kind of storage plant, like Yuma, CA, USA, and just pay some kind of maintenance fee to keep the aircraft maintained. You could also potentially buy stored aircraft from other airlines for a fee less than the fee you'd have to pay if it was in service, as you would repair the aircraft. However, I'm not sure of the reasons why you'd need to store an aircraft, unless things such as economy and fuel prices start coming into play.

Checks are really expensive and small airlines probably won't pull through.

Storing planes????

Leasing it to other airlines is a better option

Agreed, now I can lease my old aircraft to small starter airlines and still make money from them even though I don't want them any more.

Thats why Indigo replaces all their planes after 6 years, to avoid the D Check.
