Hey

I am here since a week and I just wanna expend my airline and need your advice

My airline is in Santiago-Chile and I have so far only 1 route to sao paolo which is making me around 140k a day with the Douglas DC-7

so I wanna lease used aircraft so which one should I use with low maintenance and leasing cost? I know that if I get Douglas it will be better than another brand but which airplane has the lowest maintenance cost?

and is there anyway to know the maintenance costs before leasing?

Thanks

Given the year that world is in, you'd probably be best shooting for a 737-300 or 400. It has a high fuel efficiency that would offset the maintenance and leasing cost over time. Go to your finances and take out a bond if you need the money to get it. That's just my suggestion though.

No. A320 are better than 737 (especially as you can still get A320 in 2010 while 737C are out of production by then). That of course only holds valid for new airlines as long as they buy new; if  you can only lease used ones there are mainly 737-300 available.

I've always chose 737s over A320s whenever I can.

+1 737-800 is better than A320-200 using profitability analysis
