This is my fantasy for a NC/SC Commuter Rail (CLT Area)
I'm thinking medium size DMMUs or DMU's (electrification would be costly and take forever) and headways of 15-30 (Peak) to 60(Off-peak). Iredell line is already in planning, but only to Mt Morne station. Airport Express would be like the Heathrow Express vs Heathrow Connect (the West Corridor Streetcar/LRT) All others have been mentioned before.
Gaston Line Gateway-Belmont-Gastonia (potentially to Kings Mtn)
Cabarrus Line Gateway-UNCC-Concord-Kannapolis-Salisbury
York Line-Gateway-Pineville-Ft Mill-Rock Hill (Some trains could eventually continue to Lancaster or Columbia)
Union Line Gateway-Matthews-Stalliongs-Indian Trail-Monroe
Iredell Line Gateway-Huntersville-Davidson-Cornelius (Potentially to Statesville)
