Here in New York we have a lot:

We have the MTA New York City Subway, the largest subway system in the world. Also one of the only subway networks in the world where every line operates 24 hours 7 days a week.

NYCT_R142A.jpg

The PATH (Port-Authority Trans-Hudson) from New York into Newark and Hoboken.

Fun Fact, the PATH train operates out of the new World Trade Center Transit Hub, the most expensive train station ever built.

Metro North, operating from NYC into Connecticut:

NJ Transit, operating from NYC into New Jersey:

The LIRR, operating up and down Long Island and into NYC:

And of course for long distance, we have Amtrak and the Acela Express, the only high speed train in the United States:

Porto Alegre has the Trensurb, which is really crappy.

It was built in 1985 and seems that still in the 80s. Also, it has only one line and you can be assaulted at the station.

Metro_do_Porto_Alegre.jpg

There's also a aeromovel train that's more modern, not so good and you can be assaulted at the station also
