Big airline(s) bankrupt?

Di some or one big airline bankrupt recently? I ask, because there are a lot of aircraft with similar configs on the used market.

Check the aircraft's history. If the most recent entry has no airline listed, its a plane from a bankruptcy.
Otherwise, big airlines will dump planes just cause its easier than trying to put them on a route.

Out of interest: why would a big airline do that? Presumably they would lose money by dumping?

They would lose more money keeping them around and maintaining them, training crew for them, etc.

Dumping is the best idea in that situation. It puts on up to 5% more profit
