Thought I'd do a little "trip report" sort of deal for y'all. As mentioned in the title, the train i set off to ride was the SJ X2000, It's together with the SJ X3000 the fastest train in Sweden and it was built by Kalmar Verkstad and ABB. The train was set to depart from Norrköping 15.35 but was unfortunaly delayed a 10 minutes or so due to some bad weather further up the country. Anyhow, it gave me the oppurtunity to take some pictures that I shall share with you...

Alstom X61 in Östgötatrafiken livery heading for Tranås

Another SJ X2000 heading the other direction for Stockholm

SJ X40 Heading for Norrköping's neighbouring major Swedish city, Linköping

Then, after a short wait. My train came!

A bit of a lazy park by the locoman though. Unfortunaly it resulted in lazy camera work aswell...

Unfortunaly our cold little country decides to turn dark very, very quickly this time of the year. So I couldn't really photograph much more... I'll give you some interior though. Please excuse my sexy jacket that's a bit in the way.

Wooden armrests? Looks too homely for me.

The rail looks fairly recently grinded, which seems to suggest that it has been maintained. The weeds probably also help to prevent some of the ballast being blown away in high winds.

Oh well, It's all the Swedish state anyway ^_^

Norrköping station is a bit "overgrown" compared to other stations. But I can't seem to find any reason to remove them, and obviously the maintainence company doesn't either :P

I would do a trip report, but I don't want to show you the horrors of an empty train.

Very true our trains tend to be empty up until Bray where it becomes a bit like an Express DART with way less stops

Exactly. On a good day there will be 10 people on board the Rosslare part of the journey, 15 when connecting to a ferry. That travels 3-4 times a day.
