I'm looking for some advice on game play related to route management and dealing with a few things that are new to me.

If you're a veteran player and have a few minutes to spare, send me a message and I'll respond ASAP.

Thanks guys,

Ross

Yeah...there are some aspects in route management - which aspect would you like?

I'm looking at how others effectively go through 1,000+ routes to see if they've been undercut or if someone has come along and cut into a large percentage of your market share.  I often find that when looking at an overview of my routes it will show I'm still making money, and I still have 100% load factors in all classes, but when looking closer, maybe only 30% of the load are my own passengers and the rest are from elsewhere, so I'm not making as much money as I was because someone has come along and lowered prices on the route.

Going route by route to look for this is tedious, so I didn't know if there was a faster way.

I'm also wanting to know about strategy, but I'm in a game right now so I'd prefer to ask the question privately.

Connecting PAX still makes a profit. Regarding finding routes where you've been undercut, it's not rocket science (it's aviation D: ) - just go to the routes page and sort by Y load factor. The routes with below ~95-97% have been undercut

I understand that I'll still make some profit on connecting pax, but in the example below, the load factor on the routes page is listed as 100%, but I've been undercut by only $5, which has caused most of my passengers to be connecting, causing my income on the route to drop significantly.  I stay on top of anything less than 100%, but it's these that still show 100% I have a hard time finding.

I have tons of routes where this has happened, and they still shows 100%.  So other than price matching all of my routes to pick back up some of the lost pax, is there really no other way to search for these routes other than going one by one down the routes page?

We'll on all my spam lines I had at least 10% of my routes full of connecting pax and still managed to rack up 40-45% profit margins. It's too time consuming. Instead of spending 10 minutes going back to old routes, spend it opening 10 or 15 new routes. Once a route has connecting pax it will not make a loss

be careful though cause connecting pax only pay 50% of the original price. atm i am going through my airline, seeing if there is any way to increase my profit and i found out that around 30-70 aircraft have a POSITIVE daily income, but a negative monthly loss (of around $500,000) because maintenance etc are, i believe, not included as a expense in the daily profit section, but in the monthly area they are. maybe this should get changed.

I usually check aircraft income and can then usually see where action is needed, if a 747 is making 30K then something is very wrong with the routes of that aircraft
