Greetings.

The leading airline of GMI in R-Delta has temporarily ceased operations due

to a poor financial situation and ongoing arguments and breakdown in

negotiations with its lessors, who own MSA's large fleet of Airbus aircraft.

All Boeing 737-100, Boeing 234ER Chinook & Let 410 aircraft are

fully owned and are expected to continue flying as soon as the

airline can strike a deal with Luqa airport, the Maltese Government,

its banks and with other GMI members for financial help.

MSA has 10 Airbus A319-112 aircraft on order. These aircraft are expected

to be leased direct from Airbus to avoid further conflicts with lessors

and to make sure the aircraft will continue to operate if MSA runs into

further financial issues.

All currently operated Airbus aircraft are expected to be returned to their

lessors in coming days.

This article will continue as more events unfold.

Thanks for reading.

Greetings.

Finally, after acquiring over $650 million in losses over the past four years, MSA is back in the green.

The airline reported its profit for the past three months (Dec, Jan, Feb) of $55.65 million.

MSA now operates a fleet of 13 aircraft consisting of; 10 Boeing 737-100, 2 Let 410 UPV &

1 Boeing 234ER Chinook (Gozo Only).

The airline has confirmed it will still receive delivery of 10 Airbus A319-111 aircraft and is saying that

it will shortly begin to begin 'branching out' again and is said to be in talks with Airbus about future re-replacement

of its now ageing fleet of 737's.

Thanks for reading.
