For the past month, I have been operating two different airlines. But one of which is needing enough money in order to lease more aircraft. I was considering the suggestion of my friends to loan using bonds but I know there are a lot of disadvantages. For the long time I had been playing Airline Empires, I'm still new in this feature of the game because I'm get used of raising up money through flights and routes.

Can you give me tips on how to get bonds? What should I get: $1 million, $2.5 million or $5 million?

And can someone help me how to payback these loans without getting bankrupt?

Whenever I start any airline, I always get 2 $5 mil bonds. Don't get anymore than that otherwise your credit rating will be bard and you have to pay back a lot. start by leasing one aircraft when you can afford it (don't worry if your balance goes into negative). Just keep leasing as much as you can afford and opening routes that don't have a lot of competition. Better if there is none. Your operating income DOP will start to rise and then you can start leasing 2 aircraft at a time. Try save a lot of money. Don't not worry about IFS or IFE for that matter. Just concentrate on opening routes and saving most of your money. If you have any extra gates, return them as this, plus repaying your bonds will keep you at a negative balance. By the time you have a good DOP the used market will be open and can snap a lot of planes for a good price. Did I mention this? Lease lease Lease whatever you do. until you get into the billions. I once owned 1200 aircraft from this method (Am reavling my secret here).

I know you asked about bonds but i thought i'll help you out. Feel free to PM me if you need help

Getting 6 million is far better. Use that on top of the 7 million odd you already have and lease one of all the aircraft with seats of ~150-190. You should be able to get around 4 or 5 and unless you're a complete dip your DOP should be up to at least 1.5 million (I'm usually at around 2.5 at that stage). Then you get up to 10-12 million and in a matter of hours to order 1 more of all your current types without problems with your credit rating, where as if you took 10m worth of bonds your leasing would be restricted. And 1,200 aircraft? No offense but bitch please: over 46,000 with my strategy

Okay first that is unrealistic. Second I got 1,200 aircraft in the last 3 years of the game. Third your're the bitch here. Thank you

To start a good airline simply take the starter plane use it then just wait and watch money come in then when you have roughly 16 million then lease another plane and so on.

Pretty much my strategy, but takes longer. so I lease with the bonds so I have 3 planes running then watch the money grow.

I would not recomend this as it makes your credit rating go down

which is why you don't take more than 2 bonds. Your credit rating will get better if you pay back your bonds

Exactly my point. Having bonds will grow your airline even quicker

What's the point of 2 1-million loans when you can get 1 2.5-million loan?

Back to the OP question. Everybody has a different technique. When a world starts, your airline has 1 plane & like $7.25 million. Don't be concerned w/ negative cash-on hand @ the start of month & mid-month (payroll, etc). If you don't want to venture into bonds---spend the $7.25 mil on LEASING  new aircraft. More aircraft obviously = more revenue. More revenue obviously = less possibility of running in the red for any period of time.

The only problem with bonds, is if your running a truly poor airline---missing payments (I think 6 & you go bankrupt) & when you actually have $$$ to spend, your credit rating being so poor that you've reached the maximum allowable # of aircraft you can lease.

The way I play, and no I have never had the patience to remain engaged for entire time so I just cease operations...is to take out 3 bonds immediately---2 $ 5 million & 1 $2.5 million & order a bunch of new planes. My credit stinks & for like a month I'm on thin-ice regarding new aircraft orders (obviously my strategy is buy buy buy planes), but when I have the $$$ PURCHASE one of my aircraft (usually the least expensive one) which opens up a slot for me to lease a new aircraft & also begins to restore my credit/while helping my valuation. Pretty quickly things turn favorable & I can order a slew of aircraft & continue to BUY the one's that I already have. As for IFE...ways exist for you to put in place a mid-level offering & generate revenue, so I wouldn't ignore it---I would test it & see in your financials if it is generating any revenue, if not kill-it or re-configure it to be more costly to pax. Just my thoughts.

Well, what I did was start an airline in a big enough country (Iraq in my case) with less people in it and lease a medium sized, medium rent aircraft. Then I just open routes like there's no tomorrow. Then I get a second identical plane (L188 for me) and do the same. By this time my DOP is at least at over 500,000. Then, once you get enough money (I'm at 35 million at the mo) and just order new aircraft. For me i bought 10 DC9 and 5 Trident's. Then you will just keep growing, by adding routes, increasing your DOP, ordering new aircraft etc. Hope that helps :)

There are 100s of thousands of profitable routes. Just nobody here can find them (not that they have a clue anyway)

If I were to open 100.000 routes beginning now, having 2 hours time every day, it'd take me at least 2 months of continuus playing to achieve that. (assumption: 1 route takes 5 seconds). A standard game lasts 3.5 months for comparison. If I'm only 5 days a week online and have just 1.5 hours time per day, I'm busy for 3 complete months. And if you want to do anything else but scheduling on AE, that number increases even further.
Regarding the OP: It works without bonds, but if you feel like it & want to expand quickly, get 2 x 5-million bonds and lease as much as you can (and route).

I like how unbelievably cocky  you sound everytime one of these threads are created. Seriously, people can find these routes, it's just that they choose not to for whatever reason that may be. The browse airports function isn't invisible, and if you're using some other means of finding profitable routes, then you're cheating or spending way too much time actually playing the game.
