In February 1958, SWA will receive 2 new brand new Vickers Viscount 810 aircrafts. Swatou(Shantou) base will also be set up with new links to Hong Kong, Changsha and Shenzhen. The 2 props will also provide better connections between Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Hunan provinces in Southern China.

Swatou Airways is now considering to enter an airline alliance. This is an important step for SWA to expand its network with international destinations. Final decision is proposed to be made by 1960.
