i could never live with immigrating to a country where i cost the citiziens more money...

The citizens of England, France, Germany, and Netherlands... pick uop the tabs on immigrnts. That stinks, because the government should pick up the immigrant fees in these countries... i feel bad for the population, because taxes are 23% higher in the USA, 22% higher in England, 16% higher in France, 14% higher in Germany, and 9% higher in Netherlands....our governments are corrupt!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post your views on this!

(BTW: Im for the immigrants, i like them!)

Firstly, yes I would. Indeed, my current view is one that if I were to take all the benefits of this country [including free university] and give nothing in return, that would be "Hilarious", and I'm not even trollposting. [I think all people should have these things, so the fact I get them should be the standard, not the exception], I do however feel lucky I was born in a country that gives these things.

Anyhow, Care to explain how "The government should pay for immigrants" instead of the people, when the government is funded by the people via taxation?

I was also thinking the last part of this, given I stated the exact same In chat shortly before this post.

actually there is no such thing as free education in the USA...

The US government should pay the 21,000 dollars,,, and not put the blunt on society.. with 900,000 miigrants every year, we have to cough up 1.3 billion bucks! i feel bad, ecause times are tough enough!!! AND WHY ARE IMMIGRANT FEES SO EXPENSIVE!! ik the GCA , charges 4,000k... but where is 17,000 dollars coming from!! insurance, liability, citizenship, what is it?!/

ys i know welfare is covered by the governemnt (74%), but 7,000 x  a year per immigrant is alot...

our taxes average right now are 4,529 dollars

if the government picked up the cost of immigrants our taxes would be  3,500~ dollars

that extra 1k, really helps out hurting families because unlike you UK (5% poverty rate)... US has a poverty rate of 19% ... that 19%, shouldnt pay the extra taxes.

Even if DOnald Trump immigrates US----> England... he does not have to pay the 7,000 bucks a year, so it goes right to taxes!

I'm from scotland, where there is free uni. The fact the USA lacks it hits me as awful; just as it does for england.

And again, how does the government put it on "society" ? Is it via charities aiding migrants, or via government paying out welfare, or what?

If the latter, welfare is funded by taxation.

I'm still not sure what you mean.

The government can't "pick up the cost of immigrants" without cutting other services and passing it on as a tax-cut. Unless you mean simply lowering taxes on the 19% who're poor and upping it on the 81% who're not. [Which isn't a system I disagree with, in fairness.]

I totally agree with lowering the load on less fortunate people, and i understand severe cuts would have to commence.. but 7,000 seems quite odd to charge for an immigrant.

actually 23% is poor in America.. my mistake... but that would seem less effective in Netherlands where poverty is slightly under 4%

Poor in the US? The true poor number prob less than 1%. People here in the US have no clue what POOR really is. Make a trip to Iraq or Afghanistan, and you will see what poor really is. 90% of the "poor" in the US have cell phones, clean running water, heat, elec, food, TV, game station and a car. Our poor live better than 50% of the worlds people.

Gov pay for immigrants? The US Govt is funded by the people thru taxes on her people. So in reality, the people will always pay for the immigrants. And where are you getting this 7,000 number from? Sources? I think you are low balling that number. I pay dang near 4000 bucks in school taxes where I live (which is changing real soon as my kids are no longer in school and I am moving the heck out). And we have a huge immigrant population, and a huge part of the immigrant are illegal.

Legal immigrants are welcome with open arms by me for 1 reason, they came here legally and less than 5% of legal immigrants sponge off the tax payers. Yet 70% of illegals sponge off tax payers.

I am against Amnesty. I am for immigration reform which actually denies all services of any kind to illegal immigrants up to and including the denial of citizenship to the children of illegals. Head down to El Paso and Laredo some day and watch how many cars cross the border and head right for the school in the US. The people their educate the kids free of charge yet the parents pay basically zero for that.

Youre very ingnorant..n November 2012 the U.S. Census Bureau said more than 23% of the population lived in poverty in the United States, including almost 29% of American children,[7] up from 19.3% (approximately 58.6 million) in 2009 and to its highest level since 1993. In 2008, 18.2% (56.8 million) Americans lived in poverty.[8]Also, 37% of Minorities are in poverty while only 18% of whites are.

THATS THE FACTS!

Afghanistan is only 38% in poverty!!! idiot! ... don't make unsourced facts! Iraqians in poverty sight to almost 30%.

Correct, I am an American but I have been to some of the poorest of the poor in my years in the military and will say that our definition of poor is hilarious. Our "poor" live better than 50% of the world's population.

Most of Afghanistan lives on less than 2 dollars a day...................Iraq is a little better as they make 3-4 dollars a day. I watched Iraqi and Afghan's line up for a job hand shovel crap out of stopped up pipes for 2 dollar's a day and would get in a fist fight for the job.

You might want to check your facts before you toss BS at folks who have been there and watched it. And the US Census is not the greatest source. Most is slanted to an extent.

And before you say the word idiot again, might want to go look in the mirror. I see a bunch of "book smart" people on the internet that have no damn clue what they are talking about. Sort of like your whole rant about let the Gov pay for crap without realizing it is YOU the taxpayer paying for all those immigrants and beenies you want given away.

Forgot to add, try learning to read first.......I stated that 1% were the true poor. You know the poor dude that lives under the bridge, digs thru the trash for a meal, wears a pair of shoes that are wrapped in duct tape, the true poor. Not the ones that make 18,000 a year and then collect an additional 14,000 a year in benefits.

The topic isn't how poor America is too Afghanistan or Iraq.. Because honestly I don't care .. Living expenses 10x higher here.. And the point is the 24% of the population cannot afford the ADDITIONAL money for immigrants and les money should should be out towards poorer people and more to the higher 76%..

And Iraq is a third world country , a lot of people don't know this but... A third world country is differences to a first world country , based on living expenses and development! Ehhh, didn't know huh!? Someone making 2 bucks a day in Afghanistan is like someone making 20-25 dollars a day in today's world, so not a significant decrease. I still wouldn't compare starving third world poor to Western "I can eat, but not as well as people of higher economic stature than I" poor. Also, I can attest that I learned bugger all in my AP classes, they were really more a stature thing than actual advanced education.

So your point is to boot out all the illegals and stop immigrants? That would sure take the load off us taxpayers. I am all for it. Then we can fire about a million Federal employees and save a huge bundle right there. Plus shrink the federal budget, slice a huge chunk off the debt. Get's my vote.

You got me, never went to college because it cost too much and the last 4 years of High School about bored me to tears. So I joined the Army, spent 6 years active duty, learned HVAC after I got out (no school on the job training), started my own company, closed her down in 2004 to deploy with TX Guard to Iraq and then went to Afghanistan (total 3 years away), started her back up in 2008 and here I am today. I own my house free and clear, both kids have THEIR college paid for with 1 graduate already and another in 2nd year. Never saw the need in college. I have paid more taxes than I can stomach. I have paid sky high school taxes due to educating kids of illegals. But I forced my kids into a degree that will always be in demand. NO worthless degree's.

I have found in real life that most of the economics and macro economics taught are worthless in the real working world.

What Govt's picking up what immigrant fees?

Govt pays for too much stuff for immigrants as it is. I am from the US, we don't have classes like in Europe, far as I know anyone with a job is working class, whether you make 25,000 a year or 500,000 a year. You have a job, you work hence you are working class. When I here the word "Class" that tells me I am dealing with an enlightened liberal socialist.

In case you didn't realize it, the money that government spends (including that which might be used to subsidize immigrants) comes from taxpayers.

Therefore, the more that government spends (on immigrants and other things), the more money that government must extract from taxpayers, which includes the working class.
