Greetings AE,

So, basically, who in, europe, do you think will go bust next and why?

Mine:

Skywork

Because they keep losing routes and entering already served-highly competitive markets, and it was reported not long ago that they are hemorrhaging money :P

Fire away!

MT are a tad short on cash, and are cutting back all the time by making easyJet do their flights for them :P

Thomas cook won't have any aircraft soon, they'll be gone if they don't find an investor also I think the load factor for Minoan is 8 out of 50. Why don't Links air start ops from HUY as that's their base :S

SAS might, but I hope not.

Is that a joke? XD

anyway, minoan are just a year old so it could go either way for them, they either bite through and have a clear run the other side, or die after greece has another strike. I don't see VS going down anytime soon, they've just brought in domestic so they've got money to spend, especially while branson is behind them. And other foreign airlines have showed interest in VS. TCX im not so sure about, they've been up and down for years.

I love SAS but sorry to say if their 4Excellence Plan do not work, then bye bye SAS.

Its mainly two things with that company, it has the highest labour cost in any airline company in Europe, however really low productivity and utilisation.

Its plan is to save EUR360 million by 2015, however is already swamped with EUR936million in debt this January (2013).

Although showing positive so far, lets just cross our fingers...

I hope virgin goes bankrupt or at the least is forced to downsize.

Such a smug brand...

Beardy dick disapproves of your reasoning.

I do not desire his approval.

Nah I kid beardy's fine, Just that 'Virgin' went from being a small fleet of 747s to a proper airline.

I suppose your right, but I still wouldn't consider them heavy competitors to BA or any other major European airline. :/
